נִיפּוֹל, נִפּ׳,m. (preced.) 1) young birds found near their nests. B. Bath.II, 6 (23b) ני׳ הנמצאוכ׳ (Ms. O. נָפֵיל; Ms. H. נֶפֶל, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 300) birds found within fifty cubits 2) a species of locusts, nippol. Ḥull.65b סלעם זה ני׳ (Ar. החרגל) Salʿam (Lev. 11:22) is nippol; Sifra Shmini, Par. 3, ch. V חרגל זה נפול.
